DIRECTIONS TO WAVEFRONT SCIENCES WORLD HEADQUARTERS
WARNING! DO NOT USE DIRECTIONS FROM MAPQUEST. THEY WON’T GET YOU HERE!
From the Albuquerque International Airport (be sure to check out the eagle sculpture and the replica biplane while you're in the airport):
- Follow the signs to I-25 North.
- Take I-25 North to I-40 (about 5 minutes).
- Stay on the right and exit onto I-40 Eastbound.
- Now you're set for about 10-15 minutes. You're headed all the way to the mountains.
- Just before you get to the mountains, there will be an exit labeled "Tramway" (right after the Juan Tabo exit for those of you that like to plan ahead).
- Take the Tramway exit. Stay in the second right hand lane approaching the light. As you're waiting for the light to change - it will eventually - you'll notice that the city of Albuquerque has painted the overpass WaveFront purple in our honor. Turn right, but stay on the left side of the road. As you approach the light, enter the right hand lane of the two left turn lanes. You're now at the intersection of Tramway and Central Avenue.
- Turn left onto Central (only on the arrow please) staying in the far right lane (you should now be heading toward the mountains again). (Don't forget to tell your friends that you drove on historic Route 66).
- Go straight through the next light (Four Hills Avenue).
- Continue on toward the mountains approximately 0.5 miles. You'll see a large church on the right called the "Believer's Center". We will be the next driveway entrance on the right after you pass the church, going up a small hill. (Keep going, it just seems like you must have missed it.)
- As you crest the hill, you'll see a small brick building on the right. WaveFront Sciences is in the larger metal building behind the brick building. The sign on the street is titled "Tijeras Business Park".
The official address is:
14820 Central Ave. SE
MAP
You missed the Tramway exit??????? Don't worry, take the next exit and go back toward town. We'll be on the left as you go up the hill.
ALTERNATE ROUTE
If you find that the traffic is bad on the freeway, the following two options are available depending on where you are. Albuquerque is generally easy to get around with streets laid out on an regular grid. You'll generally want to head toward the mountains from wherever you are, and the rental car map will provide enough resolution to get you there when combined with these various instructions.
If you're on the freeway and find it gridlocked, get off on the Central or Lomas exits and proceed East on either street until you reach Tramway. From there follow the directions above.
From the airport, follow the exit signs until you reach the University exit. Exit to the right and turn right. Go North on University to Central (a couple of miles), turn right on Central, and head toward the mountains. Follow the directions above when you reach Tramway (about 20 minutes).
